At Majestic Wine Commercial we have worked with many Wedding venues across the country to ensure that our range are the perfect match for the venue and of the course Bride and Groom! We realise the importance of getting the essentials right and then adding that extra bit of thought to contribute to the magical day.
When selecting your wine for the big day, it is important to get the basics right and to cater for all of your guest's beverage needs. Allow at least 1/2 a bottle of wine per head and remember to provide the non drinkers/drivers with a range of soft drinks. Don't forget that if you need glasses, Ice, Chiller bins and ice buckets we can help to provide these along with free delivery to help the day runs smoothly.
Now the exciting bit, choosing the wine! Factors to think about are firstly your budget and what variety of drinks you wish to provide, for example will there be the traditional Champagne/sparkling on arrival as well as for the toast or will it be something different like Pimms and Lemonade? It's Important to offer red and white wine and to think about the time of year, as a winter wedding may mean you having a larger ratio of red to white than say a summer wedding. A classic white would be an Italian Pinot Grigio such as the "Serena Pinot Grigio Banfi" with its lovely ripeness and crisp acidity showing off wonderful tropical fruit flavours. A Merlot as your red would be a real crowd pleaser and the Luis Felipe Edwards Mountain View Merlot fits the bill with the classic soft plummy flavours that we love in a Merlot.

With the appreciation of food and wine matching being in vogue at moment, selecting wine to match your menu not only shows added thought but also prevents any nightmare food matches that could ruin both the dish and the wine! For example red meats work best with big bold reds such as an Australian Shiraz or think New Zealand Sauvignon for a Smoked Salmon starter with its crisp acidity cutting through the oily fish.
In the latter stages of the meal give a thought to whether you would like to serve a desert wine and maybe Port and cheese to finish, these extra touches can make the food sing and the guests impressed with the attention to detail! Last but by no means least the beer drinkers will appreciate the Ales and lagers from our extensive range as they dance the night away on the dance floor!
With the drink taken care of..................here's to the happy couple!
