Meet the team

Ian Cuthbert

Senior Account Manager

Ian began his Majestic career back in September 2001. Since then he has made the most of travel opportunities to visit the wine regions of France and Australia.

Favoured wine styles are the powerful reds from Oz and Bordeaux and toasty Chardonnays from Burgundy and Western Australia. A big football fan Ian has played to semi-pro level; he lists his favourite comedy film as The Blues Brothers and is a big fan of The Simpsons and Pearl Jam.

Jo Draper

Key Account Manager

A marketing graduate from Liverpool John Moores university, Jo joined Majestic in 2005. Favourite wine regions visited include Burgundy, while a chilled bottle of 1990 Krug is right up there on her list of top tipples. Jo wanted to be a dancer when she was little, an ambition that culminated in her taking the lead role of Sandy in her school’s sixth form production of Grease.

Francesca Harland

Key Account Manager

Before joining Majestic in 2007 Francesca had aspirations to become a barrister before deciding a career in wine was much more her thing. She also worked as a private chef and her signature dish is venison casserole which goes perfectly with her favorite wine style - chunky reds from north-west Italy. Since joining Majestic Francesca has completed the prestigious WSET Diploma qualification.

Katie McEwan

Key Account Manager

Studying languages at University was what first drew Katie to the wine industry and explains her love of all things Spanish. Her favourite wine region to visit is Rioja and her ideal evening would be spent drinking Gran Reserva Rioja and watching match of the day, or in her favourite restaurant Brindisa. Katie joined Majestic in 2007 after a quick stint as a bus driver in Glasgow and gained a Distinction in her WSET Advanced.

Tom Burke

Key Account Manager

Having completed a degree in Chemistry at the University of Sheffield, Tom travelled to South East Asia where he spent 4 months travelling mainly in Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. He then had a brief go at teaching science in secondary schools before deciding that a career in the wine industry would be more suited to him. Tom is a fan of wines from Burgundy and when he is not at work then Tom is most likely to be found at gigs or watching sport.

Hugh Jones

Key Account Manager

As a child Hugh's love of cooking made him want to be a chef. He then learnt to play the guitar and wanted to be a rock star. Hugh joined Majestic in 2007 and his love of wine and creative flare won him runner up Young Wine Writer of the year in 2011. He still loves to cook, is still in a band and his favourite dish to cook is stew. His favourite wine would be Rosso Conero from the Marche region of Italy, which he visited recently.
