Matt joined Majestic in May 1998 and achieved the coveted WSET Diploma in 2003. His travels around the wine world have taken him to Rioja, Navarra, Pendes, Champagne, Bordeaux, Marlborough, Bardolino and Niagra, and his all-time number one bottle is a Haut Brion 1983. Outside work, Matt’s a big Joy Division fan, but on a lighter note he’d like to lunch with Larry David.

Business Development Manager
Before Tom joined us in 2005, he worked as a journalist. The most expensive bottle he’s ever bought came in at £120, but he’d pay a lot more to share a bottle of Bâtard-Montrachet with Meg Ryan on a desert island. His rather impressive claim to fame is that he once crashed into Will Young while skiing.

Business Development Manager
Mark started at Majestic in 1989. Whilst managing the Bristol warehouse he had the pleasure of supplying wine for Paul McGann’s wedding. A big Pinot Noir fan, Mark has enjoyed tasting wine with many producers from Europe, North America and Australia. His dream car is an original Fiat 500.

Business Development Manager
Steve came to Majestic in 2005 with all the hallmarks of his Cape Town heritage. He loves nothing more than a glass of Shiraz with a fillet steak sizzling on the braai, and his favourite restaurant, Moyo, is in his hometown. He’s taken to the waves with surfing legend Kelly Slater, but it’s doubtful they discussed Steve’s top wine fact: that Italy produces more wine than any other country on earth.

Key Account Manager
A Chardonnay lover, Nick dreamed of competing as an Olympic gymnast as a youngster, he changed tack slightly and trained as an accountant before joining Majestic in 2007. His superhero gift of choice would be super-speed, failing that his dream car, a Lamborghini Countach, would cure Nick’s need for speed. If the opportunity ever arose he would love to share a bottle of Pol Roger Winston Churchill 1996 with screen siren Christina Hendricks.

Key Account Manager
James is a keen Liverpool fan and was a snowboard instructor in Vancouver, Canada and Vermont, USA before joining Majestic in 2009. James runs a tasting event called GeekWineThing! and is passionate about a very indigenous grape variety called Merenzao which he believes is Ribeira Sacra’s answer to Burgundian Pinot Noir. James is keen to educate that when it comes to wine more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better and he likes nothing more than his mum’s Spanish omelette.

From unoaked fruity numbers to rich Burgundian styles, with all that champagne in between, Chardonnay makes Naomi’s world go round – which explains why her dream working lunch would be a cross-vintage tasting with Lily Bollinger. She is a big advocate of the benefit of screwcaps in the wine industry and looks forward to the day when they're universally accepted. Outside work, Naomi can lay claim to a world record, as part of the world’s largest orchestra in the late ‘80s.

Key Account Manager
Fergus joined Majestic in 2002. Since gaining a distinction in his WSET advanced certificate, he is now studying towards his diploma. His passion for wine is matched only by his passion for Jazz, Techno and Mk1 VW Golfs. Since relocating to the south coast after 28 years in London, his only regret is being so far from White Hart Lane. Fergus has visited vineyards in Australia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Lebanon and most parts of France but, despite living in Sussex, has so far failed to visit a single one in the UK.
