Majestic Commercial began in the basement of our Notting Hill Gate store in 1994, when we spotted an opportunity to sell wines directly to advertising agencies and media companies in London’s West End.
Two years later, we placed Key Account Managers in our City of London store with a brief to service the capital’s business sector, opening opportunities with contract caterers, event organisers and the business gifts and sales promotion sectors.
Naturally the next step was to establish a relevant on-trade proposition. It is perhaps no surprise then that the core Majestic strength, of supplying the wines the public wants at competitive prices, proved every bit as appealing to restaurateurs, bar owners and pub landlords. Twenty years on, the Majestic Commercial team numbers over 50 and covers all of mainland UK.
